Coffee in the North West of Vietnam

From the nineteenth century, the French people brought coffee plants to grow and developped this kind of plants in many methods. Nowadays, travellers visit Vietnam not only enjoy the wonderful food but also make it a try the local coffee. We are not able to miss out the high productive coffee in Vietnam to meet global tastes so that coffee productions make Vietname to become the top coffee exporting nation. Annual exporting productivity is between 900.000 ton and 1.200.000 ton. Meanwhile, Arabica coffee is planted about 35.000 ha, Son La  and Dien Bien are two provinces to grow these worthy coffee in Vietnam.

Arabica is original from Ethiopia, Brazil and Columbia where they can grow high quality coffee with the most numerous consumers. Especially, Arabica is more than double price towards Robusta.

Robusta is known for another kind of coffee which is being grown under the height of 1500m above sea level. The numbers of caffeein in Arabica is equal to half of Robusta , however, its taste is gentle and comfortalble

There are 3 best places for growing coffee , include Tay Nguyen – Central Highland where the goumets voted one of the most excellent coffee such like Arabica Bourbon ( Moka). In this place, Golden standards involve in the height of 1500m above sea level, perfect weather, maximum temperatures 33 degree Celcius.

The next one , we ought to mention about Dien Bien and Son La provinces. Coffee in the North West takes advantages in growing within cold, wet and tropical weather . The travellers compared the two provinces between Sau Paulo in Brazil . If the original coffee keep growing in Lam Dong province since 1930s, have big trunk while those ones with similar tastes are under special treatment by local hard working peasants in NorthWest
