Buddhism in Vietnam
The pathway to train people in Vietnam, Buddhism, to follow the humanity based on the major ideas in Buddhism “ connecting people”. This religion is original from India in the six century BC, in a country where Buddha was born , studied , to train people to enlighten themselves to get better, to stop doing bad things.
It is truly believed that Buddhism was transferred to the North of Vietnam by two ways, one from Chinese feudalists but especially, from Indian monks who freely taught local residences to enlighten them in daily life. Dramatically , the major ideas in Buddhims are easy to understand and to follow . The presence of Buddha is extremely significant in human history because he brings us the way of behaviour to our parents , the reality, our respects, our saviors.
People in the South of Vietnam was strongly influenced by Hinduism. It was said it that we can recognized the differences between the Origin Buddhism or Lesser Wheel ideas in some countries like Lao or Thailand, Srilanka meanwhille the Great wheel or Expanded Buddhims in the North of Vietnam , China, South Korea, Japan. Architecture in pagodas can be easily realized with high roof top in the South while pagodas in the North were usually constructed by extended stretching roofop. These architectures can be explained due to big storms in summer, many domestic armed conflicts, many foreinger invasions so that the pagodas’ constructions were unable to construct as high as the ones in the South
The people of Vietnam warmly welcome Buddhism ; the monks has carried on missionary works, authentically, the rulers of Vietnam keep their eyes on Buddhism to support its growth. Not only many kings became outstanding Buddhists or high ranking mandarins but also the Buddhists. The peak time of Buddhism has reached from 10th until 14th century with many pagodas were built, more Buddha followers . Especially, the King Buddha Tran Nhan Tong who is an outstanding ruler already showed his excellent leadership through national liberations against Yuan – Mongolian invaders in 1285 and 1288 before his crown was given to his crownprince.
